Executive Board

The Executive Board is responsible for determining who will receive each year’s grant and for creating programming around the topic of the selected film. In addition, they offer administrative support for the film’s director, producer, and crew. The Executive Board is selected every spring.

Co-Presidents:

sky Sky Dylan-Robbins is a senior Radio/TV/Film and Italian major, and Sociology minor, from New York City. She spent her junior year abroad in Bologna, Italy, where she made a film on the spirituality of food. www.skymedia.tv Strongly believing in the media as a catalyst for positive social transformation, Sky is determined to make waves – not ripples – in the world through the powerful mediums of film and TV. She executive-produced Inspire’s 2009 film, The Throwaway War.
glor Andrew Glor is a senior Radio/TV/Film and Political Science major, and Business Institutions minor. In the Northwestern community, Andrew has worked as the producer for multiple student films. He also served as head editor on two previous Inspire documentaries: Aquellos and The Throwaway War. He hopes to create meaningful social change through work that is powerful, entertaining, and enlightening. This is his second year as co-president of the organization.

Vice President of Production Management:

liz Liz Miller is a junior studying Radio/Television/Film and Environmental Policy and Culture. She hopes to someday combine the two by using the power of the media to change environmental attitudes and behaviors. On campus, Liz is also involved with Deeva Dance Troupe and will be co-directing the Roosevelt Institute’s Energy and Environment Policy Center for the 2010-11 school year. Some of her favorite things include dancing, traveling, farmer’s markets, thrift shops, and observing as much as she can about the world around her. She was one of the recipient’s of Inspire’s 2009-10 Open Media Grants, which she used to create a collaborative audio documentary about the way the ‘L’ brings strangers into each others’ lives.

Vice President of Business Affairs:

lauren Lauren Manning is a sophomore Journalism and Sociology major hailing from Stamford, Connecticut. She’s a Medill kid at heart, but is a huge fan of social justice and plans on saving the world one day. She runs (mostly) on caffeine and adrenaline and likes spontaneous dance parties, using abbreviations, and carrying around tripods. She’s extremely excited for her first “inspiring” year on the board as VP of Business Affairs!

Vice Presidents of Public Relations:

nolan Nolan Feeney is a sophomore journalism and sociology major who hails from Berkeley, California. Although he spends a lot of time writing about entertainment for North By Northwestern, socially conscious media is what originally convinced him to apply to journalism school in the first place, so he’s excited to be a part of Inspire! In his free time, Nolan enjoys “30 Rock,” running, starting bands and making blogs.
kathryn Kathryn Ferrara is a senior studying journalism and French. She is incredibly excited to be a part of Inspire and help encourage social change via many types of media. On campus she is a member of RUF and has dabbled in several student films, and her interests include photography, watching foreign films, and going on adventures.

Vice Presidents of Advocacy and Awareness:

dylan Dylan Lewis is a senior political science and theater major with an environmental policy minor. His primary interests are in environmental preservation and its connections to the American public. He is currently also serving as Students for Ecological and Environmental Development’s co-chair. He believes socially conscious media has the supreme ability to galvanize and inspire public action and hopes to explore the ways media can benefit the environmental movement.
melissa Melissa Sobin is a sophomore studying Anthropology and International Studies. As the Advocacy and Awareness co-chair, she hopes to raise awareness of crucial themes and situations in the world and, through multimedia and innovative programs, combat these problems. On campus, Melissa is a Project Wildcat counselor, a staff member of Global Engagement Summit, and a member of Sailing Team and Triathlon Club. When she is not trying to save the world, Melissa enjoys long games of capture the flag, arts and crafts, riveting games of Bananagrams, eating cereal, and frolicking on Lakefill.

Vice Presidents of Communications:

shaunacy Shaunacy Ferro is a journalism and Slavic languages and literatures major from California. She spends most of her life taking minutes, both for Inspire and the Communications Residential College. With her free time, she writes for North by Northwestern, makes Youtube videos, and goes to the pet store to look at puppies. She plans to change the world one tweet at a time.
lindsey Lindsey Kratochwill is a junior journalism major and environmental policy minor, who works with the Folk Show on the weekends with WNUR, and during the week she is an editor and writer for North by Northwestern. But every day of the week Lindsey is a huge fan of the environment, figure skating and amphibians. She wants nothing more than to talk and connect with people and to tell stories through audio documentaries.
