The Policy Research Committee is responsible for undertaking research on the facts, contexts and perspectives of the focal issue of the current Inspire Film Grant recipient. The Committee will present their findings and recommendations at the annual Symposium on Social Issue Media in the spring. The Committee is overseen by the Vice Presidents of Advocacy and Awareness, Abraham Benson-Goldberg and Lindsey Kratochwill.

The Symposium Committee is responsible for all tasks set by the Vice Presidents of Symposium in planning and preparation for the annual Symposium on Social Issue Media. Duties might include researching possible speakers and guests, planning discussion panels, brainstorming themes, finding other media relevant to the theme of the year’s Film Grant recipient, and booking and securing logistical details, among others. The current Vice Presidents of Symposium are Emma Forman and Ashley Hudson
